I've flown around the World for close to 2 years now; Been to places I've never even dreamt of going, exploring stations I've never even studied in Geography before. This job taught me well, somehow makes me a smarter person because I got to learn how to deal with people, be damn street smart and no doubt, instilled more general knowledge than I've ever had.

Many asked, "Where's your favourite place to go?" or "Which country you love the most?"
I took a while to realize it's totally two different questions.
You see, if you were to ask me where's my favourite place to go to; It would probably be Taiwan, London or San Francisco.
BUT if you were to ask me which country I love the most, there will only one answer I'd give;
Yes, Singapore. (*Sings* This is homeee trulyyyyy~~~~)
Hahaha but seriously, there's really nowhere else I'd rather be.
I love my Home, I love the sense of security I have when I'm Home. I feel safe.
I wouldn't deny the World out there is such a beautiful and magical place;
The breathtaking sceneries, the four seasons, the shopping, the cuisines, the people and the different cultures. Everything. But y'know what? I never once felt safe when I'm away.
It always feels like my life's 24/7 at risk;
I never know when will an Earthquake strike.
I never know when will Tsunami decide to attack & eat me up.
I never know if I'll be bury live by a sandstorm.
I never know if the person beside me is tying a bomb to himself.
I never know if the person in front of me would draw a pistol out suddenly and start shooting people...................................................................................

Or how about...
Try having a meal half way and the shop owner started locking up the doors then you start to hear loud noises & fire (no not guns thank God) shots... And a troop of people screaming & protesting pass you.
Or try shopping half way and you see 35000 people marching pass you.
HOW WOULD YOU FEEL?
ME: "I WANNA GO HOME!"
Try waiting for the train with your friends at 5pm in the evening & a syndicate of Blacks were targeting to pickpocket/rob/whateveryoucanthinkof you.
HOW WOULD YOU FEEL?
ME: "I WANNA GO HOME!"
Try walking on the streets at 8pm with your 2 friends and suddenly a group of teenagers start to make funny noises and frighten you, then CHASE AFTER YOU.
HOW WOULD YOU FEEL?
ME: "I WANNA GO HOME!" AND RAN.
Try sleeping in the room halfway and suddenly someone bangs on your door making you jump out of bed in the middle of the night. Then you saw 2 guys (with a bottle of beer each in their hands) through the peephole waiting for you to open the damn door.
HOW WOULD YOU FEEL?
ME: "I WANNA GO HOME!"
And yes, all of that above happened to me.
But still I count myself a little luckier because a lot of people have had their belongings pick-pocketed, robbed, bags slashed, rooms barged in by strangers, experienced Earthquakes in NZ/Japan/Turkey, sandstorm in NYC...........

See? MY HOME IS THE BEST.
We complain. We complain about everything in this country.
Govt la, Law la, Fines la, Politics la, People la......... EVERYTHING LA.
BUT have you thought... Would you rather stay in a country with lousy ruling of the government, a country with high crime rates, a country with no regulations, a country which their citizens practice racism, cheating and has zero democracy; A country prone to natural disaster, garbage living environment and pollutions everywhere...
Or a clean & green country where you can live safe and healthy everyday, a country with World class medical personnels, well trained military forces, transparency from the government (of course, to a certain extent), low crime rates & promotes racial harmony?

Well perhaps you and I may think differently, weighing whatever the pros and cons may be;
There's nowhere else I'd rather be.
